For first weaning, it is recommended to try liquid food first, followed by purees. After trying cereals, it's finally time for purees!! Remember to 'test' for allergy and to rest 3 days to see for any reaction before introducing the next new food. I tried giving simple pureed food for bb Kaile. I've tried carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkins in very very small portion.
Using he's super small spoon, maybe about 4-5 spoons?
**I would highly recommend fisherprice flat wave spoon as it's really easy compared to many other brands I tried where food just stuck onto the spoon and not the baby's mouth!!
He always shivered at first when food goes into his mouth, probably very new to the texture but after a week or less, he could take them and is quite excited when he sees me holding he's green food bowl. Haha, babies are just so innocent and simple minded.

Back to weaning, I've decided to make soup stock for him. I used it for making porridge for him and I will share the simple ways of doing it!
These are the ingredients used:
I used carrots, corn, celery, yellow onion and a packet of chicken bones
Prepare them and put them in a pot of water, ensure that the water level is covering the ingredients and bring to boil
Cook and simmer for another 20mins or so.
The carrots were really soft after all the cooking, although most nutrients would be in the stock, but there's no harm giving a little to my bb. It's also used to test if he's allergy to the stock as well.
Strain the soup stock and let it cool down. After which, I left it in the fridge for about 2-3 hours as I was using it that night.
I strained it again because they were solid fats/oil floating above the stock after being left in the fridge. I think it's good not to give babies oily stuff and this method removes the fat thoroughly as oil floats ya?
I used Tupperware ice cube maker to store the soup stock. It's good because it's airtight!
After freezing for a night, I took out to store it inside a freezer ziplock back.
If possible, I would suggest to use up the stock within 1 week or so, As such, try not to overdo the amount of stock! Haha!
Anyway, the stock tastes REALLY good and super sweet! Yup, nothing except pure ingredients. That's all we need, natural food!
Some ingredients that can be used to make stock:
Chicken, Pork ribs, fish bones, ikan billis or lean pork/beef
Cabbage, carrot, corn, celery, yellow onion, tomato
